Self-talk is a process that plays an integral part in the programming our minds. Oftentimes, dads end up talking to themselves negatively especially when worries are high and shortcomings overwhelm them. Negative things in the environment can't be avoided but we can always choose how to respond to them. By shifting our self-talk onto a positive gear, we can change the way we perceive ourselves and lead our lives as responsible fathers.
Positive self talk includes three easy steps. These are dwelling in the present; relating to your desires as something that has already been achieved; and use of positive words. If there are areas in your life that you want to improve on, it is good to have a list of the positive thoughts you would want to recite on a daily basis. Following are few statements that you can use as guide.
